Terms of Service
These terms explain what Nearing is, and the rules for using it. We've written them in plain language. By using Nearing, you agree to these terms.
What Nearing is (and isn't)
Nearing is a free savings tracking tool. It helps you set savings goals and estimate your readiness for a home or a car.
Nearing is not a bank, lender, broker, or a licensed financial, lending, tax, or legal advisor. We do not hold, move, or manage your money, and we do not connect to your bank accounts. Nothing in the app is financial advice.
Your financial decisions are your own
You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions. Any decision to save, spend, borrow, or purchase is yours to make. We encourage you to consult a licensed professional before making significant financial decisions.
Estimates only
The Readiness Score, savings pace suggestions, market-aware targets, mortgage and affordability calculators, and any other outputs are estimates for educational purposes only. They are based on self-reported information and general market data, are not guaranteed to be accurate, and should not be relied upon as the basis for any financial decision.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information and use Nearing only for lawful, personal purposes.
Account termination
You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings; doing so permanently removes your account and associated data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, misuse the service, or where required by law. We may also modify or discontinue the service at any time.
Limitation of liability
Nearing is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nearing and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service or reliance on its outputs.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. (Final jurisdiction to be confirmed before public launch.)
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Nearing after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
A note about these terms
These terms are provided for general informational purposes and are not legal advice. They should be reviewed by a licensed attorney before any public launch to ensure they meet applicable legal requirements.
